They live by a code, which they talk about through The whole series, gemma even knew she had to die for What she did. Jax taking a header into the semi was About doing what his dad couldnt, saving his club And most importantly, his sons. Wanted them to hate Him and choose different paths.
he did what he had to do to save his sons. You might hate hiim, but in the end he was a stand up father. To make sure his sons didn't go into the life he had. To make sure that they would live a life of club free enivorment. He erased the past and present for them.
Are you kidding me? LMFAO if you have never been through (in real life) what he went through there's in nothing left to say. IF YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A SITUATION, THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANYTHING COMING OUT OF YOUR MOUTH ABOUT THAT SITUATION! POINT BLANK PERIOD!
You never know what a person is willing to do, or what he/she thinks she must do unless you have been in that situation!

Jax becomes a true psychopath by season 7
Every murder he commits or ordered is completely rationalized And forgotten
I had empathy for jaz during the original series but after The recent run (2017) he's just another confused murderer Seeking power
During the 1st run of SOA, Jax was a sympathetic anti hero...
Yeah, he murdered 43 people but it was always to protect the club and family
And the violence and mayhem made for great tv..
Well, I'm kust about finished watching a marathon of SOA ON Directv
Jax aint a hero....he's a psychopath justifying and lying to anyone that gets in his way
The love and brotherhood cover the blood he spills

I think the show is so great because you can actually see Jax changing in each season. After Opie died something snapped in Jax and he got harder and less sympathetic. After Tara died he completely snapped and lost all rationality for his actions. Killing and beating was what pumped his blood and kept him going. After killing his mother he snapped back. He could barely shoot her, but once he did he knew that there was no going back to any type of life. That's why he smiled when he seen the semi. Most people that kill themselves feel complete calm and happiness in those last moments.

After watching the series again, I realized just how much bad stuff Gemma was responsible for.
Sutter's SOA is full of symbolism. You don't need the symbolism to enjoy the story but it makes it more interesting. Jax had to kill Jemma. His final understanding was that you can't be a good person and a criminal at the same time. It's what JT didn't figure out until his end. It's what brought down Tara- and everyone else who tried to be both, Opie, Unser, and Juice comes to mind. It's what Jemma believed and tried to instill in Jax. He had to kill her to get rid of that ideal. Jemma knew it at the end as well which is why she told Jas it was ok. Once he killed her and the the ideal of the dichotomy, he became a different person. He was no longer conflicted, sure of what he needed to do, and he even seemed relaxed with smiles the final episode.something he hadn't done the entire 7th season. In the end, knowing who he was, a criminal, is how he eventually saved what remained of his family and even SAMCRO. Nero and Wendy figured it out and Nero left the crime world and Wendy decided no more lies. That's what give Abel and Thomas hope going forward. They are the new compass for the boys, as opposed to JT, Jemma, and Clay.
