Victor "Vic" Trammel was a Deputy in the San Joaquin County Sheriff Department on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actor Glenn Plummer, Vic makes his debut in the series' premiere episode, "Pilot", in season one. Trammel played a recurring role through the series' first and second season. He met his demise in the season two episode "Gilead".

Vic Trammel came up through the academy with Saunders, who became his partner when they were employed by the San Joaquin County Sheriff Department. Trammel eventually found himself on the payroll of the Sons of Anarchy.

On the payroll of SAMCRO, and having a great deal of information on their illicit activities, Vic was a valuable asset to the Sons.

Season 1[]

"Pilot"[]

Trammel responds to reports of a fire at a warehouse used by the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club for running guns. Club President, Clarence "Clay" Morrow, Vice President, Jackson "Jax" Teller, Sgt-at-Arms, Alexander "Tig" Trager and Secretary Robert "Bobby Elvis" Munson. They drive to the site of their destroyed warehouse and after speaking to Vic Trammel, a corrupt police officer, they learn quickly that the Mayans Motorcycle Club was responsible. Trammel explains to Clay that everyone knows about the explosion and it has drawn a lot of heat to the Sons. Jax counts out some cash and passes it to Trammel, telling him to make sure that the police report flies under the radar. SAMCRO goes to leave when Trammel shows them the bodies of two dead Mexican women, they were trapped in the explosion and killed. Trammel also brings up the partnership with the One-Niners, a street gang that the Sons are affiliated with, Jax hands Trammel some more cash and tells him to get a meet setup between the two.

"Seeds"[]

Trammel is attempting to get rid of the two dead Mexicans when suddenly Deputy Chief David Hale arrives at the scene. Keen to get rid of the nosy out of town cop, Trammel reminds him that the warehouse is just outside of Charming, and his jurisdiction. Hale shows him a photo of a dead man and explains he was found just inside of Charming, meaning it is also his investigation too, and hands Trammel a warrant.

Later, SAMCRO contacts Trammel to get an address for the mother of Johnny Yates, a suspected child rapist.

"AK-51"[]

Trammel and Saunders are part of a prison convoy transporting convict Frank Cison. The transport turns bloody when Cison’s Militia comrades attack, killing Saunders and two innocent bystanders.

Jax meets with Trammel, he is devastated at the loss of his partner. Jax informs him that Clay has been picked up by the feds. Trammel is angry when Jax asks for assistance in finding out how much the cops know as he sees it as protecting the men that killed his friend. Jax assures him it isn't protection, just finding them first. Trammel attempts to leave the partnership with the Sons but deep down he knows he can't leave, he is in too deep, as Jax reminds him.

Jax then meets with Trammel again, handing him some extra cash for assisting in their recent problem. He tells Trammel that the guys who killed Saunders are dead and promises it won't happen again.


Season 2[]

"Gilead"[]

After Tig Trager accidentally kills Donna Winston on Clay’s orders and pins it on the Mayans, he dumps the black Range Rover used in the murder outside of a Mayan clubhouse. Trammel provides them with information about the vehicle, and allows them to deal with Elian Perez, the man they framed.

When the Sons are incarcerated in the San Joaquin County Correctional Facility in imminent danger of being picked off one by one by the Aryan Brotherhood, they make a deal with the Black Guerrilla Family to take care of two rats in exchange for protection. Opie Winston works with Trammel to get one of them, Venus Bell, a transsexual drug dealer in Stockton. Opie plants drugs in her car, and then Trammel pulls her over. Almost instantly, Venus shoots him in the stomach and speeds away, leaving Trammel on the street bleeding while Opie calls for backup. It is later mentioned that Trammel didn't make it.
