Saunders and Trammel were transporting a prisoner when Nate Meineke walked up to them and pulled a gun out to free a member of their Militia. Saunders got out and aimed his gun at Nate's men but was gunned down by Russell Meineke along with two innocent bystanders. These events led June Stahl to investigate SAMCRO as the source of the guns used in the breakout. ("AK-51")
