Obispo 'Bishop' Losa was the Presidente of the Mayans Motorcycle Club, Santo Padre charter and a major character in Mayans MC, a spinoff of the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Played by American actor Michael Irby. Bishop makes his debut in the series' premiere episode, "Perro/Oc", in season one. Bishop plays a recurring role throughout the same and subsequent seasons.

Appearance and Style[]

Bishop is in his 50s, he stands at 5'8", he is in good physical condition for his age, being an older member of the club. Bishop has hazel eyes and medium length black hair with grey streaks at the tips, he previously kept it shorter, leaving it all black. In earlier seasons, he has a short black beard which is kept neatly trimmed, by season three, his beard is longer, grey and is relatively unkempt. Bishop has the Mayans insignia tattooed on his left forearm, a portrait of his deceased son, Aidan, on his right shoulder, and an eagle globe and anchor tattoo from his time in the armed forces on his other shoulder.

Bishop always wears button-up shirts, he favors olive green and slate grey but can occasionally be seen wearing a shirt of a similar darker colour. These shirts are always worn with the sleeves rolled up. Bishop always wore tapered black jeans and black boots. Bishop wore a single silver ring on his right middle finger and a black leather watch with an oversized strap.

Bishop's kutte has a basic level of customisation, he opts to wear the "Los Asesinos De Dios" flash on the top of his kutte and "Los Fieles" on the bottom.

Personality[]

Bishop is characterized as being a strict, level-headed, no-nonsense, careful and tactical leader to his charter, well befitting his position as not just a charter president but also the president of the most vital charter for the Mayans' organization. He often tries to keep his members in line and can at times be stern, although he generally means well. He gets along very well with his primo Alvarez, with the two often discussing plans and the general direction of the Mayans as well as personal concern over one another, as they deeply trust on each other, many times acting in coordination.

Bishop is very proud of his position and what he has achieved in his outlaw life. He is unwilling to let disrespect pass freely, be it either at his name or his charter's, and even engaging on physical reprisal when his authority is challenged no matter if it is a fellow club member or an outsider, as he feels the need to defend his hard earned reputation.

Bishop does however, hide more vulnerable aspects of himself. Bishop believes in the idea of belonging to something superior and greater than oneself, a philosophy he shares with EZ, which for Bishop might mean the life of brotherhood, as he has shown to be fiercely loyal and supportive of his charter and its members, although this doesn't completely guide his actions. After becoming officially one of the three kings of the Mayans, he has felt an increased sense of responsibility and prestige with his newfound power which he extends to the rest of the organization, partaking in decisions that affect all charters, resolving disputes, and sometimes weighing decisions that make go against the benefit of his charter to protect the organization, although there are limits to this, and he is willing to make his charter engage in unjustified self-sacrifice to benefit the others, and has clashed with other charters over certain demands made to him.

In the third season Bishop is shown to be more irritable, growing increasingly frustrated with the difficulty of the border lockdown and how it is affecting the business, along having to be on the receiving end of the angry demands of other charters and those of Alvarez himself who often tries to guide Bishop into what Alvarez believes is the right decision even if it does against Bishop's wishes, growing more antagonistic and confrontational, although much of this comes from the fact he believes he is being blamed despite his best efforts and the fact much of the current situation is out of control and his own perception that he is being treated unfairly as the charters were angry that Bishop had carried out the execution of the Vatos Malditos who had carried a treacherous hit on his charter and soured on a gun deal, and had fatal repercussions.

As a result, Bishop quickly warms to EZ's plan of circumventing the other Kings and being the direct distributor of product to other charters, thereby depriving the other Kings of their leverage and consolidating the power of the Mayans entirely on Bishop, and by proxy granting him unilateral power. He makes little effort to hide not only his approval for the idea, but frequently flaunts that it is entirely justified (albeit as the charter was also growing tired of impositions placed upon them by the other Kings), showing and increased sense of greed and self-importance. Under such circumstances he grows visibly more impatient, and frustrated when his product transporting operations are thwarted, as not only it deprives him of his much yearned power grab, but also because it threatens to expose his machinations for the other charters to see and without achieving any progress to validate the risk, which in turn causes him to take more risky, daring and even reckless approaches in order to deliver drugs. It should be noted, however, this push isn't entirely self-serving as some charters like Tucson were under realistic pressure to be able to secure heroin as a means to protect their imprisoned members who were otherwise highly vulnerable to assassination, a situation Bishop was genuinely sympathetic of. He was also more than willing to lie and act in direct defiance of Alvarez's wishes as in Bishop's perception he had no authority over him as he was no longer a Mayan.

Underneath his charisma and strong leadership, lies an emotionally broken individual. Bishop heavily mourns the early death of his infant son Aidan, which 7 years after the fact continues to eat him from the inside and make him lost in life, as he feels he has lost everything that was important to him, even going as far as to admit that he has been "dead" and miserable for all those years, this in turn has made him scornful of moving on and looking at the future and is instead heavily chained to the past. He even angrily lashes against his ex-wife for this, berating her for choosing a different path, now married with a new wife and trying to cling to life and future, rather than live in perpetual misery even going as far as tell her she should have committed suicide, which was in the same day followed by his suggestion to transport heroin over a highly risky route, believing "the future is overrated" and to "look at the past". The date of Aidan's death makes him particularly sad and prone to angry outbursts, even blaming Alvarez for the incident, as it was Alvarez's push for Bishop to migrate to Santo Padre that inadvertently caused Aidan's demise, although this was like a spur of the moment rather than a genuinely sense of hatred towards his cousin, as Bishop was also under heavy pressure due to the intra-fighting within the Mayans, which Alvarez also reprimanded Bishop for. As he grows increasingly more angry as all things around him either collapse or in Antonia's case, leaving to improve while his own situation worsens, he even authorizes the murder of the Stockton Mayans that attempted to kill EZ, all in the apex of a cumulation of building fury over all the anguish he has endured.

By season four, Bishop begins to lose hope in the club, after learning from Taza about the murder of Riz and then the subsequent civil war, Bishop is a ticking timebomb. After the civil war, Bishop is stripped of his Presidency by Alvarez and is demoted to Vice Presidente, this seems to contribute to his consistently furious demeanour, and he constantly pushes back on any decisions made by Alvarez about the club. Bishop still stands firmly with Santo Padre, despite everyone else's attempt at uniting the fractured charters and openly admits that he has no interest in making peace. This eventually culminates in Alvarez, stripping him of his Vice Presidente status, and giving it over to EZ instead. Bishop appears to not cope well with this loss of power, especially to someone who in the grand scheme of things, is very new to the club. Bishop immerses himself in a destructive way of life, heavily drinking all day and doing drugs. His feud with Taza also remains, although Bishop never admits to the rest of the club what Taza really did, possibly hinting that deep down, he doesn't want anything bad to happen to his friend. Throughout season four, the Mayans engage in a bloody war with the Sons of Anarchy. In one such attack, Bishop finds himself under the barrel of a Son's rifle, he is moments from death and seems to accept this fact; before he is saved by Taza, however their broken relationship continues, this eventually leads Taza to leave Santo Padre. Towards the end of the season, EZ approaches Bishop and shockingly declares that he wants Alvarez overthrown as Presidente. EZ simply tells Bishop that he, and the club need him "back on top". This possibly leads Bishop to believe that EZ will make him Presidente again, however, this was not the case, he was made Vice Presidente again, whilst EZ took up Presidency. Glimpses of hope shrine through for Bishop throughout season four however, he meets a woman named Maggie, and the pair begin to develop a relationship.

Throughout season five, Bishop continuously shows signs that his time with the club is nearing an end. He is devoid of all emotions except for rage and anguish whilst on club business and he grows distant from his brothers. This is most likely due to EZ's plans for the club, leading them in to more and more wars with powerful adversaries to which Bishop believes they cannot win. Though, out of desperation, or possibly the belief that there is a slim chance he will end up back at the head of the table, Bishop continues to follow EZ's lead, as do the rest of the club. Bishop's resent continues to grow at an alarming pace, at one point admitting to Angel that he would happily let all of Santo Padre burn if it meant he got one more moment with his son, and that he would certainly not still be in the club if his son was around. With tears in his eyes, he admits to Angel that the club is the only thing he really has left. Bishop looks to take things to new heights with Maggie, telling her that he wants to pursue a serious relationship, although she remains sceptical, possibly due to his club ties. Partway through season five, Bishop makes a fatal error, ending his and Maggie's chance at a brighter future. With her absence, Bishop is lost once more, and turns to the too familiar club for comfort, where he is drawn further down a darker path, of which he will never return.

Biography[]

Background[]

Bishop is from a broken home in the Salton Sea, he was taken in by the family of his cousin, Marcus Alvarez, Mayans M.C. founder.

It is unknown at what point exactly Bishop joined the Mayans, his knowledge of the club's history and age demonstrates that he has been a member of the club since at least 1992, and most likely the Oakland charter. Presumably at some point after joining, he enlisted in the army. Bishop completed a tour of duty in Iraq and one in Pelican Bay. Afterwards, he returned to Oakland, where he sponsored Will Medina when Medina was a prospect in Oakland.

At some time during 2013-2014, Bishop was sent by Alvarez to set up and run the critical Mexi-Cali border charter, Santo Padre, where he was the charter's first Presidente. Santo Padre is where Bishop would spend the rest of his days.

He was previously named one of The Rey De Los Mayas ("Kings of the Mayans") after Alvarez left the club in 2018 to join the Galindo Cartel. However, following the Mayans civil war, he was subsequently demoted to Vice President after Alvarez opts to return to his leadership position in Santo Padre rather than Oakland, after the disbanding of the Galindo Cartel.

Bishop later had his Vice President status stripped by Alvarez for continued fighting with other charters after the civil war. After Ezekiel "EZ" Reyes, then Vice Presidente, initiated a successful kill switch vote to have Alvarez removed as Presidente, EZ replaces him and once again made Bishop his Vice Presidente.

Bishop theoretically finished on top as the Presidente of Santo Padre, after EZ is outed as an informant and is subsequently killed. Alvarez had previously left the club months ago; leaving nobody to challenge Bishop for the throne. He would not remain on top for too long, however...

Season 1[]

Some BTT backup arrives and bullets begin flying; the club are getting the upper hand and Afa attempts to leave but is cornered by SAMDINO. The club later attend the interrogation of Afa by Miguel and learn that Los Olvidados, a Mexican rebel group are who hired the BTT.

Bishop sits at the table with Alvarez and the pair discuss the club's partnership with the cartel. Taza and Hank arrive to discuss how damaging Los Olvidados have been for the cartel.

"Escorpión/Dzec"[]

They eventually track him down but he and his crew flee, the club give chase and he ends up flipping his car after going off road. Louie is unable to help the club further. The club then receive a call from Alvarez saying Galindo wants to meet them.

The club meet Galindo and learn that Los Olvidados have kidnapped his infant son, he asks the club to keep an eye out on their side of the border for anything. Bishop is praised by Alvarez for his handling of the situation; but Bishop didn't feel like he had much of a choice.

The club joins Miguel as he interrogates a man who he believes saw who kidnapped his son. Angel feigns a call from Dogwood when Miguel threatens to hurt the man's son, telling Miguel that they have found the car he was looking for after EZ mentioned it's location earlier. They head to where the car is and realise it is useless. Nestor Oceteva, head of Miguel's security is also present but drives off swiftly, the club wonder where he is going but become concerned when they see dogs on the street. The dog's are from a nearby animal shelter which also helps drug addicts, they rush to it to find Nestor's men interrogation the owner. Sensing the tension, guns are drawn. Alvarez decides they should let out some overdue rivalry and a brawl between the cartel and the club breakout. Nestor and Bishop stop swinging on each other but agree to let their men continue the fight for a few minutes.

"Búho/Muwan"[]

Bishop, Alvarez, Hank and Taza meet with Miguel to discuss a new Chinese buyer the club may have. They will discuss business further when they make their next run to Vegas.

The club set out to a Native American casino and then head in to a meeting between the Chinese and some other American distributors. Bishop states his mind and assures the others that the club will not lose product again. They all agree they have a deal and a toast is made to their partnership. Bishop quickly draws his gun and shoots Jimmy Yen, a member of the Chinese triad in the back of the head. Taza, Hank and Bishop explain that they knew all along from Galindo that Jimmy was a traitor but the Chinese will not kill one of their own so Galindo asked them to take care of him. They kept it between the three of them until the leader of the Chinese family confirmed the killing.

As the club leave they pass by the cops again. Hank asks Bishop's permission for EZ to beat up the cop for insulting him earlier, Bishop agrees.

Back in Templo, Bishop discusses the day with Alvarez. Alvarez reiterates that he hasn't forgotten that someone told Los Olvidados about their shipment and there could still be a traitor in the club.

"Bat/Zotz"[]

The club are at Vicki's place, Vicki's is Riz's aunt. They hear gunshots ringing out and speculate what it may be.

The following day Bishop goes to meet the major, Antonia Pena, who is also his ex-wife. Bishop offers his assistance in helping stop traffickers ending up dead in the streets, which is revealed to have been the shots the previous night. Bishop is concerned as the mules and their oxy could lead the Drug Enforcement Agency (D.E.A) setting up shop in Santo Padre which will bring heat to the club. Vicki has some information for the club.

The club pay a visit to Alice, who the club believe is responsible for the shootings. Alice denies involvement but a man that EZ recognises from jail gets him suspicious as EZ remembers he was a shot caller for a military like organisation. Bishop sends Angel, EZ, Gilly and Hank to tail the man.

Back at Templo the club discuss what they learned from the mysterious man and his crew, they are obviously mercenaries or former military.

The club are leaving from Vicki's place to breach Alice's compound. They try to sneak in but are met with gunfire from Dennis, Alice's son who runs off in to the night. Coco, Riz, Bishop, Hank and Taza clear the rest of the house, only to discover that everyone inside is dead. Angel, EZ and Gilly return and Angel lies about Dennis getting away when he in fact interrogated him before killing him.

"Uch/Opossum"[]

In Templo, Alvarez reveals that he has a picture of Adelita, the leader of Los Olvidados. He shares it with Bishop, Taza and Hank but asks them to keep it to themselves for now on account of their possibly being a rat in the club.

Outside, Chuck "Chuckie" Marstein speaks to Bishop, Taza and Hank. He explains he has just seen Coco leaving agitated and in a hurry. He also reveals he saw Coco meeting with a young latina woman in a diner yesterday. Taza produces the picture of Adelita and asks if this was who Coco met but Chuckie is unsure. The trio immediately become suspicious as Coco said he was watching Alice's compound at the same time. Bishop sends Hank to follow him.

Bishop later receives a call from Hank informing him he followed Coco through the tunnels but was unable to find him. Bishop tells him to return to the clubhouse.

Bishop later meets Antonia and he learns that Miguel is threatening to take a legitimate business deal out of Santo Padre, he assures her that Miguel isn't thinking straight and he'll come round. Coco, EZ and Angel return after being absent the whole day. Bishop asks Taza and Hank to keep an eye on them.

"Gato/Mis"[]

Bishop and Hank are talking about their deal with the Chinese and Galindo. He wants the monitoring of Angel and Coco to continue. The pair later see Coco leaving the scrapyard with a young woman, they head inside and speak to Chuckie but all he will reveal is that the girl is important to Coco.

"Cucaracha/K'uruch"[]

Bishop, Taza and Hank are in Templo. Bishop explains that Miguel has been arrested by border control at a checkpoint. Angel enters and he admits that they found a tunnel in the desert while they were chasing Dennis, the tunnel leads to Vicki's place. Angel says he is aware there could be a rat and doesn't want to screw Riz but feels they need to know as it is odd.

The club attends Templo and Bishop announces to everyone that wasn't already aware that Miguel has been detained by border patrol. Their usual run will continue but Riz will stay behind.

Outside Templo, the club is surprised to see a young girl sitting at the table, Coco speaks up and announces that this is Leticia Cruz, his daughter, they all introduce themselves. Bishop asks Chuckie if this is the same girl he had seen Coco meeting and Chuckie confirms it, putting Bishop's suspicions to bed.

At Templo, EZ later returns following his beating with the cops. Bishop scolds him for his recklessness and says if he does something like that again he is out.

Now thoroughly suspicious of Riz, Bishop, Hank, Angel and Taza go to Vicki's and camp out by the tunnel. Riz later emerges with some immigrants he was smuggling under the border.

"Rata/Ch'o"[]

Bishop, Angel, Taza and Hank are grilling Riz for information on the tunnel. He explains that it's Vicki's and she helps people move from Mexico to the US. Bishop tells Riz that it is a club decision what happens to him and the tunnels.

At Templo, Bishop explains what Riz has been doing and Taza lays down the punishment. Riz will stay a full patch with all privileges but will lose his position as Secretary. The club will vote in a new Secretary and will start charging Vicki for the tunnel, taking 10% from smuggling immigrants and 10% from prostitution. Riz argues that that has nothing to do with the club but Hank shuts him down saying they will close Vicki's place altogether then. Furious, Riz leaves Templo. The vote passes unanimously.

Later that night, Alvarez arrives and calls for another Templo meeting to explain the developments with Miguel, the law is coming down hard on him from every angle.

"Serpiente/Chikchan"[]

The club head out to the casino to meet with Miguel for the first time since he was released from custody. They sit down and he begins explaining that he has signed a deal, similar to one that his father signed 10 years ago. He goes on to explain that while he was detained at the border he was approached by someone else and offered a deal, that person was Adelita, better known as Luisa. The club are astounded at what they are seeing and hearing. Luisa then addresses everyone in attendance and her and Miguel confirm they are no longer enemies but are in fact partners.

After the meeting, Bishop talks to Miguel and says they will still have to vote on if the Mayans want to continue the partnership with the cartel after this meeting, but he doesn't see a problem.

"Cuervo/Tz'ikb'uul"[]

At Templo, Alvarez is discussing what he talked about with Miguel the previous night, he believes in the partnership with Los Olvidaos and the Galindo cartel. The club still needs to vote on a new gun running relationship with SAMCRO, who will supply the cartel through the Mayans. This one was not outlined in Miguel's deal and will be done under the radar. The vote passes unanimously.

After Templo, Taza, Alvarez, Bishop and Hank are at the table. EZ enters to speak with them all but we are left not knowing what was discussed. Afterwards, they all leave except for Bishop and Alvarez who says he has something to discuss, once again, we don't know what was said as a very solemn Bishop leaves the room.

Outside, Bishop and Angel talk, Bishop explains to a shocked Angel that EZ has said he would like Bishop to be his club sponsor rather than Angel and they will add a new rule stating that blood can't sponsor blood.

Season 2[]

"Xbalanque"[]

Bishop and Taza are at the table with Mayans Yuma and Stockton members, including Yuma President Canche and Stockton President Oscar "El Oso" Ramos. Canche is explaining that they have had to pull product off the streets as it is laced with fentanyl and is killing people. Bishop asks for the rest to leave except for Canche, Ramos and Taza. Once the room is clear Bishop states that one of the other charters is responsible for skimming the drugs and they will need to find out.

Hank arrives and the three discuss the beef between Angel and EZ with Bishop claiming that they need to settle it and he will make them do supply runs together.

Hank, Bishop, EZ and Coco then head to a safehouse filled with human traffickers. They are working with Hobart's crew after Miguel's recent deal with Lincoln Potter. The club plans to plant evidence to make it seem like it was Los Olvidados that were working from the house so as to not arouse suspicion that the club and the cartel are working with them. Alvarez, who is now working for the Galindo Cartel is also on standby. The club, the mercs and Alvarez breach the house and kill the occupants, taking extra care to destroy any intel that would expose that this is not a Los Olvidados safehouse before planting their own fake evidence.

One of the mercs is able to capture Mini, a young member of Los Olvidados and the mercs plan to torture her for information. Alvarez and the club return to the house and kill the mercs before they are able to hurt Mini. They realise that Hobart, who had already left will quickly figure out what happened to his men.

The club sit at the table and the members who were out of the loop learn that the mission with Hobart's mercs didn't go to plan and Luisa could be in danger. Taza also announces that the in response to their product skimming problem, the two suspect charters will be coming down and then they can find those who are responsible.

The club returns to Templo as the other charters arrive. Bishop explains the situation to Solis, Sahuarita President and Ibarra, Tucson President. EZ enters to point out which of the packages has been tampered with, it is revealed that it was from the Tucson charter. A Tucson Mayan, Ticker, reaches for a gun hidden in his boots when he is accused before being restrained and dragged away. Ibarra apologises and says that Ticker will be dealt with for his betrayal.

Bishop, Taza and Coco talk to EZ after Templo. EZ is reminded that his patch vote will not pass if the beef continues and Bishop demands they end this beef as soon as possible.

"Xaman-Ek"[]

EZ talks with Bishop, Hank and Taza and explains that he and Angel are working things out, EZ tells them he needs to go to Stockton to sort out some parole paperwork and he wants Angel to go with him so they can continue to clear the air, Bishop agrees.

Bishop, Taza, Hank, Coco, Riz and Alvarez assist in searching for Mini, who has gone missing, they ask local residents but are unable to locate her. They see the mercs arrive, who are presumably looking for Luisa and decide they should leave as their presence will arouse suspicion. As they leave, by chance they run in to Mini and are able to escort her away as the mercs arrive, they return her to Vicki's place where Luisa is staying.

"Camazotz"[]

Bishop, Taza, Hank, Coco and Gilly make their way to the Stockton clubhouse to join EZ and Angel after they hear of the death of Will Medina. Canche is also there. Santo Padre make plans to deal with O'Grady and Pollen, the two corrupt cops who are responsible for the death of Medina.. Bishop takes the death of Medina especially hard as he used to be his prospect when he rode with Stockton. The club plan to use Hope, the drug addict and prostitute that was present when Medina was killed, to lure the corrupt cops out as they know she has evidence of what they did.

They arrive at Pollen's mother's house and lure him outside with Hope while they breach. Inside they find Pollen's mother who attacks them and stabs Gilly in the leg. Pollen hears the commotion and returns inside and starts letting off shots, he is knocked out by Hope from behind who is then attacked by Pollen's mother, Coco arrives and shoots her dead.

The rest of the club return to the Stockton clubhouse for Medina's wake. Angel informs Bishop that they still need to deal with EZ's parole paperwork.

"Lahun Chan"[]

The club are returning to Santo Padre after leaving Stockton, on the road they are pulled up on by the Swole Boys Motorcycle Club, a local MC in the area. Unbeknownst to them, Angel and EZ have already locked horns with the club. Hank reaches out to SAMCRO to try and find out what the deal is with the mystery club and why they are following them. The club depart and the Swole Boys follow. Riz is rammed and ends up falling from his bike, in return, Creeper, who is driving the van rams a Swole Boy and sends him tumbling down the highway also before donning a shotgun and scaring the rest of the crew away. The club ponder what one of the Swole Boys meant when he said it was "payback".

The club, along with Sons of Anarchy, San Bernardino, visit the Swole Boys clubhouse, a gym; looking for answers. They learn that the "payback" that was mentioned was Angel and EZ causing chaos the previous week. An injured Riz limps over, looking to get some payback of his own and shoots a Swole Boys member in the leg. The clubs mutually agree their beef is settled. Bishop, then pulls Coco aside and asks him to find Angel.

"Xquic"[]

Bishop is furious with Angel and EZ after the Swole Boys drama. Angel apologises and says he will let the table decide his punishment. The club learn that Luisa has been captured by Potter after she was travelling with Miguel. Luisa turned herself in making it look like the cartel had no involvement.

Bishop, Taza and Hank meet with Miguel and Alvarez to discuss the situation. Miguel has become fearful that Potter knows about the cartel's alliance with Los Olvidados as a lot of little things have started to add up. The trio meet Sederica Palomo, a politician who is allied with Los Olvidados. She wants to assist in bringing Luisa home.

At the dress warehouse, the club, the cartel and Los Olvidados discuss the rescue mission for Luisa. Bishop orders Angel to be on communications rather than on the actual rescue, he has been side-lined after the Swole Boys incident. Angel loses it at Bishop and says he is going to Mexico to find Luisa and there is nothing Bishop can do. Bishop pulls him aside and they begin to fight before Angel finally cracks and tells the club that Luisa is pregnant with his child.

Angel, EZ, Bishop, Coco and Pedro, Luisa's second in command, are camping on the house where Luisa is being held, waiting for the transport.

The club watch the second convoy leave and are certain that this is where the real Luisa is being kept. The club gear up and give chase to the convoy, the convoy stops as the woman inside goes in to labour and the club realise that they have been duped. They regroup and EZ confesses that he saw a third car and the club realise this is where Luisa is really being kept.

"Muluc"[]

The club learn that Alvarez has been captured and meet with Miguel and the cartel to discuss what happened. They figure that it could be Hobart on orders from Potter. An injured Nestor arrives with some crucial information that could help them in locating Alvarez. Alvarez gives Hobart some false information and is able to text a coded message to Bishop and Miguel, further narrowing the search for his whereabouts.

The club locate and assault the warehouse where Alvarez is being held and are able to rescue Alvarez with him finally finishing off the very dangerous Hobart.

"Tohil"[]

The table learns from Coco that he is trying to help Letty's friend, Gaby get her family back after they were taken hostage by the Vatos Malditos Motorcycle Club who help illegal immigrants cross the border and then demand huge sums of money. The club agree to step in when they hear the VM are on their turf. Taza seems to know a lot about how the VM operate and finally admits that he used to be part of their club. Once their new President, El Palo was sworn in, the club began to deal in human trafficking. Bishop says they focus only on this until it is resolved.

The club head to Dogwood and are able to figure out where the stash house is. They breach it and save the occupants but are unable to locate Gaby's mother and brother. They speak to the captives and learn where more hostages are being held.

The club make their way to the border where they find another VM safehouse. They breach and are able to save the hostages and kill all the VM members inside, they also find Gaby's family.

"Kukulkan"[]

The club are at the table and discuss meeting with SAMCRO to settle some gun business.

The club later attend the meeting with SAMCRO on tribal land, they are joined by Stockton, Yuma and Tempe Mayans. The charters sit down at the table and Filip "Chibs" Telford, SAMCRO President addresses them. He tells them that a recent port closure means that the Son's IRA contacts have no way to smuggle their guns to them. Chibs admits that he wants to partner with the Mayans to assist SAMCRO in their weapons trade. Chibs also mentions the VM are going to be joining them for the meeting soon and Santo Padre admit they had a recent run-in with the club. Allesandro "Domingo" Montez, Road Captain of SAMCRO tells Santo Padre that he knows El Palo and if he is willing to sit at the table then things can be resolved.

The club return to the table once the VM arrive and Chibs attempts to lay out a deal which will allow them to all make out with a lot of money. Tensions are high between the Mayans and the VM but the three kings, Ramos, Canche and Bishop are eventually able to come to an agreement with assistance from Chibs.

The club are celebrating their new partnership when their bikes are hit with molotovs, they head outside to investigate and are met with a rain of bullets, lead and fire rain in from the VM who are less than happy with their share of the deal. Gilly takes a bullet to the shoulder but fights on, a few members run back inside but are met by more VM members including El Palo who unloads multiple round in to the torso of Riz who collapses on the floor. Outside, Coco is caught by a stray molotov and his hair is set on fire, other members quickly rush to extinguish the blaze. Tribal members arrive and gun down a few VM with the rest retreating, Taza screams for an ambulance as Riz bleeds out.

"Itzam-Ye"[]

Creeper and Hank are sitting with Riz, he is critical and is in a coma. Bishop and Taza come to check on him, they learn that Riz is expected to live after his surgery went well. Hank tells Bishop that Ramos and Canche will be down soon.

The club meets in the hospital lobby to discuss the other kings coming down, some members of the club disagree with their input and think it should be a Santo Padre call.

Back in Templo, Bishop and Hank sit with Canche and Ramos, Bishop wants revenge but the other kings try to convince him that retaliation is a bad idea and it will affect everyone in a bad way. Ramos says that if Riz lives then no real harm is done.

Bishop leaves and tries to explain that retaliation is not advised, Coco is understandably maddened by this and leaves.

Bishop returns to the table with Hank and Alvarez, Chibs agrees that what the VM did was unforgiveable but there is a lot of money on the line. The club discuss where they are all at in terms of voting for retaliation, it is 50/50 and Bishop will most likely have the final say.

The club head in to Templo to cast their votes for retaliation, he gives a short speech before putting the vote on the table. The vote doesn't pass for retaliation. Coco is furious and leaves.

The club is drowning their sorrows at the bar when Bishop arrives and announces that Riz has died and the club is "going to war".

"Hunahpu"[]

The club are at Vicki's to break the news of Riz's death to her. Canche and Ramos are also present and inform Bishop they will wait for him at the table, Bishop retorts that there is no need and with Riz's death war against the VM is certain, they once again try to talk him out of it saying other charters do not agree either.

Bishop sits at the table with the other kings, they explain the severity of the ramifications if the VM deal doesn't go through. Other charters are threatening to defect and take the business for themselves. Canche urges Bishop to talk to El Palo to try and figure out a deal. Bishop agrees and he will go with Hank.

Bishop and Hank ride out to where El Palo is holed up. Bishop heads inside to speak with El Palo while Hank waits outside. The pair eventually exit and they seemed to have reached a deal of compensation. Hank and Bishop leave and Hank hints that the deal isn't as simple as is made out.

Bishop and Hank return from their meeting with "Galindo" and tell the truth about where they have been, with El Palo. They call for a meeting immediately. Inside Templo, we don't know what Bishop discussed but he tells Coco to "play it smart". They exit Templo and Coco begins hurling abuse at Canche and Ramos before being jostled outside. Canche and Ramos congratulate Bishop on making the right decision. Taza asks Bishop if he is sure but Bishop says he is not.

The club go to the table to vote on EZ. His prospect term is over and he needs a unanimous vote if he wants to become a full patch. Angel admits that he never wanted this life for EZ but he is proud of him nonetheless and Santo Padre is his family. The club cast their votes offscreen. Angel exits Templo to escort EZ in, he apologises but EZ follows him anyway. EZ stands at the table and Bishop demands he take off the kutte, EZ does and lays it on the table as instructed. Taza appears behind him and chucks the full patch patches on to EZ's kutte as Bishop welcomes him to the tribe. The club cheer and embrace EZ.

The club arm up and head out and arrive at El Palo's house where there is a party. The club breach the house and massacre everyone inside, El Palo is able to escape as he was not inside at the time. The club reunite inside the house and realise that a SAMCRO member who was attending the party was caught in the crossfire.

After Templo ends Taza stays behind to discuss El Palo but Bishop become angry and leaves telling Taza to drop it.

Santo Padre later ride out to meet other charters. Tensions begin to ride when Bishop is accused of not pulling his weight as Santo Padre is the source of the drugs and the recent losses Santo Padre have been suffering is negatively impacting other charters. They are also responsible for losing the gun deal when they attacked the VM. Canche and Ramos demand double the product to make up for their losses but Bishop refuses and questions if the rest of the club can survive without the Santo Padre pipeline before Santo Padre leave.

Tucson President Ibarra has come to the table. He needs the pipeline to continue to supply the prisons or brothers inside are going to die but Bishop refuses. EZ speaks up and says they are going to keep the heroin flowing to Arizona, the rest of the table goes ballistic but EZ silences them. He explains they keep Arizona in the loop to keep brothers inside safe. They take Canche out, taking his crown, using Tucson as the new conduit and work on making bigger less frequent runs that will go to Tucson who will distribute, making no need for Canche. They also remove Ramos leaving Bishop the one king. The club stares in stunned silence at EZ's insane plan but all seem to be in agreement.

"Overreaching Don't Pay"[]

The club listens intently as EZ lays out his plan to move a large drugs shipment to keep the club afloat while they deal with Canche and Ramos. The plan is still a mystery to Alvarez however.

Bishop and EZ head to see Alvarez, Bishop invites EZ to speak with him and Alvarez but Alvarez sends him away. Alvarez tells Bishop he knows about the recent beef with the other charters and Bishop says that's why he is there and Santo Padre wants to bring 200 keys over. Alvarez cuts Bishop off and says he is doing the right thing working with Canche and Ramos. Bishop bottles it and is unable to tell Alvarez about the plan to dethrone the other kings. EZ returns and Bishop tells him that they're doing the run tonight.

Later, Santo Padre is visited by Happy Lowman and Allesandro "Domingo" Montez, with the former revealing he has taken over Berdoo's operations as Les Packer is in treatment for cancer. Happy subsequently explains that Mayans are to give a call if they want to pass through SOA territory. Bishop is taken aback by the sudden hostility, but Montez and Happy elaborate that their attack on the VM has caused issues. Bishop wonders if this was Chibs' decision to which Happy confirms, before leaving. Bishop admits he doesn't think much of Happy but, he's wary of Montez's intelligence. Taza and Hank wonder if it is truly okay to trust on EZ's plan thinking he is still too new, but Bishop believes EZ to be the only one who sees the bigger picture angrily claiming they should look at the future instead of the past.

New prospect Esteban "Steve" Estrada is ordered to slow down border patrol which he does by driving at them and swerving in front of their vehicles. Taza and Creeper are left in the tunnel as there is no time to get them out and the hole is covered as the rest of the club flees in to the night.

Back at the clubhouse, Hank expresses concern to Bishop for the plan and thinks that lying to Alvarez is going to have negative repercussions for the club. Bishop later goes to see Antonia and she invites him inside before someone calls the police.

"Our Gang's Dark Oath"[]

Bishop awakens on Antonia's couch and is hassled by Antonia's wife before she is ushered away. Antonia mentions that Izzy Alvarez, Alvarez's wife has expressed concern for Bishop as he has been "looking like shit". Bishop brings up Aidan Losa, his and Antonia's deceased son. Antonia tells Bishop that she wants to move on from the past but Bishop says she is wrong for that and leaves.

Bishop speaks to EZ after he visited Alicia, they learn that Alicia wasn't responsible for turning on the club.

Bishop nervously awaits to see the outcome with Vicki who he believes was responsible for turning on the club. Taza enters and explains that Vicki ran when confronted and as a result Taza killed her. The run is about to go down as kids shoot off fireworks and distract the Border Patrol. Steve is the lookout and informs the group the distraction is working, which sets Bridge Over the River Kwai in motion. Gilly drives a truck up to the wall on the Mexican side of the border at the pre-determined location. Angel and Bishop are in a truck exactly opposite them on the US side. Ramps are put in place on both sides and it’s immediately apparent they’re a foot too short on the U.S. as well as on the Mexican side. EZ realizes there’s been an additional foot added to the wall’s height, and Bishop confesses he’s going off dimensions from back when Bush was president. Steve radios in that the border patrol are done with the kids and will be at their location in two minutes-ish. Bishop wants to call it off, but EZ has an idea. He takes two spare tires and places them flat next to the Mexican side of the wall.

Creeper drives the truck with the ramp onto the tires and the Mexican side is now tall enough for EZ to drive the truck over. EZ tells Coco to buckle up as it’s going to be a rough ride once they hit the top. (The truck has to fall a foot before landing on the other ramp.) So much could go wrong – including a tire popping – but fortunately nothing does. EZ, now with the drugs successfully over the border and on the U.S. side, zooms off to make the delivery. Angel sets the ramp on the U.S. side on fire as the Border Patrol’s sirens draw closer. Angel and Bishop jump the border to join the rest of the club.

Bishop and Taza discuss the days events, Taza is of course concerned about retaliation from Canche, Ramos and Alvarez but Bishop says they will be ready.

Bishop, Hank and Taza arrive to speak to him and Bishop tells EZ he should get out of town but he refuses. Bishop gets angry and demands EZ do as he is told. Angel threatening to kill the Mayan in the next room isn't helping either.

At the clubhouse, Alvarez finally arrives to confront Bishop about what he has done. Bishop is furious as he has always done everything Alvarez's way and now when one of his brothers is attacked Alvarez sides with Canche and Ramos. Bishop becomes extremely emotional and essentially blames Alvarez for the death of his son who's birthday it is today as he made him come to Santo Padre. Alvarez threatens Bishop to not do anything before leaving.

Bishop later visits Aidan's roadside memorial and apologises to him, Antonia arrives soon after and they weep together. The pair head to a diner where Antonia tells Bishop that her wife, Kat is moving away and Antonia is of course going with her as she thinks Santo Padre is cursed. Antonia asks Bishop to sign his name on the mortgage so she can sell the house to which he agrees before telling Antonia that she should be dead instead of Aidan. Bishop asks Diaz to join him against the other Kings so the club can become what they used to be, as Diaz once knew it. Diaz seems to agree and shakes hands with Bishop. He says they will ride out together once they find where Ramos is.

The club wait around at the motel and Santo Padre becomes impatient, Diaz assures them that his guys are looking for Ramos. Taza later remarks to Bishop that he has no idea how Oakland lasted this long as they are smoking crack and seem to have no cares in the world.

Commotion is later heard outside and Bishop and Taza realise that Diaz has betrayed them and called Stockton to their location, they begin to brawl in the motel room. Bishop begins laying in to Diaz but is unable to properly fight him as he is still being attacked by Jinx, the Oakland Vice President, Taza is able to stab his pair of attackers and pulls Jinx off Bishop allowing Bishop to headbutt Diaz until he is a bloody pulp.

The cops soon arrive as a gunshot rings out, Steve has shot and killed Gaeta, a Stockton Mayan. Bishop is in Templo when Taza joins him demanding to talk. He learns that El Palo is dead but not before he was welcome to join the Mayans Yuma charter and he has already set something in motion. He then lays a gun at Bishop's hands and tells him he may want to use it once he has finished talking. Taza sorrowfully explains to Bishop that El Palo was going to bring up old wounds about how he is a homosexual which would most likely lead to him being excommunicated from the club, how El Palo killed his lover David, his own brother and the biggest blow, that he killed Riz to launch a war against El Palo. Bishop picks up the gun and Taza tells him, "Do what you have to do".

EZ asks if the club has heard anything about the Galindo family and Hank says he presumes they are dead as the Lobos New Generation Cartel (LNG) has been stepping on Galindo turf since Miguel went missing. Angel pipes up and says he hated the cartel, especially Nestor Oceteva, Miguel's head of security. The club crack up but an annoyed Alvarez quickly silences them. Alvarez then says that the Yuma pipeline and partnership with the LNG is the future of the club. Taza speaks up and says that Santo Padre haven't had any action in months and feel like they are being left out. An argument quickly arises but Alvarez throws everyone out of Templo before any physical fights can break out.

Alvarez then also informs Santo Padre that they have a new prospect, sponsored by him and it is Nestor.

Bishop drinks more at the bar and talks with Treenie. EZ speaks with Bishop and wants to clear the air with him too. Bishop is obviously furious that he has had his patch stripped and given to EZ and a very drunk Bishop isn't interested in hearing EZ out and begins to ridicule him, EZ responds by punching Bishop in the face.

Bishop sleeps off his drink in the clubhouse before being awoken by Treenie, she throws down some cocaine for them to hit. The pair then have sex on the pool table as a horrified Gilly enters before quickly leaving.

Creeper pays tribute to Pavia, Dondo to Ramos and Hank to Steve most notably, other charters also honour their dead. A brawl nearly erupts between Hank and Downer, an Oakland Mayan but EZ jumps in in time to stop any punches being thrown. Tex, an Oakland Mayan pushes EZ who then punches him in return causing an all out brawl. Alvarez soon arrives and fires a round in the air. He addresses Diaz, admitting that "Maybe it's time to cut out the fucking cancer".

Bishop drinks alone and Treenie comes to speak to him. She tries to comfort him but shouts at her and tells her to leave him alone if she really wants to help him.

The club return to Templo after confirmation that it was the Sons who attacked Oakland. Alvarez informs them that they will react but not right now as the club is still too divided. He wants to reach out to SAMCRO first. Creeper speaks up and says that he doesn't want to wait and wants to fight now, Gilly agrees. EZ bravely squares up to Alvarez and tells him they aren't waiting and will act now. He proposes a plan that the club will kill Les Packer, President of SAMDINO who is currently in hospital undergoing chemotherapy and is unlikely to survive much longer. They take out Packer and they take out their leadership. Taza remarks that it is a suicide mission and EZ agrees saying that is why he will do it along with Angel and Gilly. Hank pipes up and says that Gilly shouldn't go, he needs to stay and defend Santo Padre. Manny says he will take his place and the club is in agreement. Alvarez reminds EZ how dangerous this plan is but agrees nonetheless.

"Dialogue with the Mirror"[]

Bishop, Hank and Creeper sit in the bar and Bishop continues to drink non-stop and blame EZ for all troubles within the charter. Hank and Creeper try to convince Bishop that he needs to unite with EZ to try and get the club back together. Alvarez arrives and Hank informs the trio that Manny, EZ and Angel are now at UC Davis to assassinate Packer. Alvarez suggests that Creeper and Hank get some sleep to prepare for the outcome of EZ's play. Creeper and Hank leave. Alvarez sits with Bishop and the atmosphere is incredibly tense, the two have been squaring up since Alvarez stripped EZ's patch. Alvarez invites Bishop to dinner that night, it is his wife Izzy Alvarez's birthday and she wants Bishop to be there. Bishop initially laughs it off and refuses but Alvarez tells him he is going to come for Izzy who has been nothing but good to Bishop.

Bishop later goes to Alvarez's house for Izzy's birthday. He arrives late, to which Alvarez scolds him for and wearing his kutte. He sits at their table but declines a drink from Izzy as he has bought his own; which he begins to drink. Bishop is continuously hostile during the dinner when asked any questions. He mentions that he has recently been "demoted at work" to which Alvarez hisses at him from across the table to not discuss this in his home. Izzy's friend, Maggie arrives. Bishop continues to listen to Maggie's travel stories and then tells the table that he has "Been to Iraq a couple of times, Al-Qaeda, so warm and welcoming" and that Iraq was "amazing" as he chugs down more of Izzy's wine. The conversation then switches to grandchildren and Maggie tells Bishop that one day he will get to experience the joys of being a grandparent. The room goes silent and the tension is obvious to everyone in the room except Maggie, Bishop stands and announces that he is going to leave.

He heads outside and Alvarez soon joins him. Alvarez says that Izzy was just trying to do something for him as his family are worried about him and that their bond is deeper than just the club. Alvarez tells Bishop that if he has a problem with him then he can leave the club. Bishop scoffs that Alvarez's problem is that he thinks too much about his family and he's too scared to pull the trigger. Alvarez says he doesn't want more brothers dying on the street but Bishop snaps back that they already are and Alvarez needs to wake up. Bishop rides away.

They are able to drive in and the Prospect immediately tries to call for help but is quickly silenced with a shotgun blast to the head by Creeper, the Mayans dive out of the van and a lengthy gunfight ensues, they kill numerous SAMDINO members outside before EZ, Angel and Canche breach the clubhouse and bar where the inhabitants are unaware of the chaos unfolding outside.

Bishop splits off and begins to hunt, he is jumped by a hiding Son and ends up on the floor, the man is about to shoot him before a round goes through his skull, shot by Taza, the pair say nothing to each other.

The club return to Santo Padre, successful in killing the majority of SAMDINO. Canche unfortunately lost his life in the raid, supposedly murdered by a Son. Alvarez and Diaz arrive and they toast to the life of Canche. Meanwhile, Taza sits with Bishop to discuss what happened earlier and Taza tells him that they are now square after their beef. "The Calling of Saint Matthew"[]

Bishop is at a laundromat when he spots Maggie from Alvarez’s failed dinner party. He hurries and grabs his stuff, hoping to avoid being seen but it doesn’t work. Maggie follows him outside and apologizes for bringing up her grandchild during dinner. She was unaware his own child died. Maggie continues by saying that it doesn't change the fact that Bishop is an asshole and states she only came to the dinner because Izzy spoke very highly of Bishop and wanted to meet a good guy. Bishop offers to take Maggie on a date later but she turns down the offer of going for drinks as she doesn't drink. Bishop is left without anything to suggest so Maggie asks if he really wants to see her tonight and he tells her that he doesn't really give a fuck. A cocky Maggie turns on her heels and tells him "your loss". Bishop quickly stammers out a quick yes, stating he does in fact want to see her tonight, Maggie agrees as long as it is on her conditions.

The club meet and Alvarez reveals he and EZ met with Miguel Galindo and El Banquero’s sister, Soledad about reopening the drug pipeline. The club are shocked to learn that Miguel is still alive. EZ believes this deal could put Santo Padre back on top and will make them untouchable. The club likes that idea but Alvarez announces he’s going to say no to which there is much disagreement with. Alvarez believes the deal is poison and they don’t need it. Gilly points out this decision will leave them vulnerable, but Alvarez is determined to end the bloodshed. Bishop disagrees and calls for the death of all Sons. EZ agrees with Bishop and doesn’t think now is the time to change course. Alvazrez is certain they need to step back, but Gilly and Hank throw their support behind EZ. Alvzrez doesn’t care. It’s his decision and the matter is now closed.

Taza then speaks up, he announces that he doesn't like the direction the club is heading in and he has decided he would like to go Nomad. Bishop is immediately outraged, telling Taza he can't run from all the things he has done and EZ too pipes up to voice his distaste at Taza's actions. Nevertheless Taza insists and Alvarez ultimately allows the transfer.

At Templo later, the Santo Padre Mayans declare they still want revenge, but Alvarez wants peace, saying there's now a ceasefire with the Sons of Anarchy. They are also horrified to learn that multiple Yuma Mayans, including Manny have been burned alive by SAMDINO, Alvarez defends the attack saying it was unsanctioned by some rogue Sons and peace is still on the table. EZ refuses to accept anything less than surrender and soon brings up the kill switch, which allows a charter to remove a president via unanimous vote. Although Angel seemingly hesitates, the club votes to remove Alvarez, choosing war over peace. Alvarez angrily pounds his fist on the table, reminding all present that this is his club and he has made many sacrifices for them. He exits, stating that he will be happy he's not around to see the club burn.

EZ steps up to President in Alvarez's place, making Bishop his Vice President once more, citing his experience and leadership ability. EZ places himself at the head of the table and gives a rousing speech to his brothers. His first order business is that they'll be working with Galindo and the LNG to move more heroin than ever before. With the money from that operation, they'll soon control everything within California. Santo Padre, invigorated with this new development in leadership begin to pound their fists on the table in support of their new President.

Angel asks about Northern charters and how they stand on the war, EZ states that Oakland has a treaty with SAMCRO, and other local charters are hoping to contain the war to just the South. Otero says that is SAMCRO really cared about peace, they wouldn't allow the unhinged Isaac to run SAMDINO and go on a rampage. A brief verbal altercation takes place as Hector voices his concern for his Northern brothers if more reinforcements are needed to be sent down South.

Rooster and Solis speak up, exclaiming that Alvarez had wanted to end the war and EZ foolishly had him removed, now everyone is suffering. EZ explains that they are going to get the cartel drug pipeline back, we learn that the warehouse full of heroin was burned down by an arsonist. EZ attempts to reassure the others that he is going to get back in with the cartel. EZ then checks in with Hank to ensure their hit on SAMDINO today is still good to go down.

Santo Padre then do a raid on a Sons weapon transport, they arrive masked and armed and gun down three Sons as they tie up the survivors, blow up their trailer and flee with their truck full of weapons.

The club head to the meeting with Soledad and Miguel, in an attempt at peace after the entire heroin stash was burned by an unknown assailant. Soledad is incredibly unimpressed by EZ's attempt at reconciliation, seeing as her men are already armed to the teeth with the latest military grade weaponry. Soledad leaves and EZ addresses Miguel, who is furious that the club has embarrassed him after he told Soledad to hear them out. EZ demands to know who the cartel's new heroin supplier is but Miguel refuses to tell him.

The club then pay a visit to Louie, an old friend of Coco's and gangbanger. They need intel on who the cartel's heroin supplier is, Louie explains that he has heard rumours of the Broken Saints Motorcycle Club, a club based in the Salton Sea that run heroin. EZ pulls Hank to the side, and asks him to go and see Creeper, who has been locked up for the past six months after Santo Padre caught heat, he confessed to numerous murders to save the club.

Santo Padre hit the road, and head down to the Salton Sea, they break in to some farmland which is supposedly where the Saints are holed up, they trek down the path when they are greeted by some seemingly friendly dogs, Downer, not being much of a dog lover moves ahead of the group, but steps inside of a trap that snares his leg before a woman dives from the bushes and holds him at knifepoint. Before the club have any time to draw weapons of their own, they are surrounded by heavily armed women, the club have found the Saints.

EZ addresses the crew, he apologises for trespassing and one of the women asks if they are with the Iron War Motorcycle Club. Bishop is familiar with them and laughs at the question, noting that their club is made entirely of law enforcement officers. The President of the club, a fearsome lady, says that the Sons and the Mayans are just corporate shills. EZ is able to talk the Saints down, and stop Downer getting his tongue cut out.

Bishop is about to leave the club for the evening, Treenie approaches him and the two small talk. Treenie tells Bishop that she has to wash glasses and serve rude Mayans at the bar, she turns and leave, warning Bishop not to break his neck watching her walk away as she flaunts herself on her way back to the clubhouse.

Bishop meets Maggie for dinner, the two passionately kiss outside her home. Maggie tells Bishop she is too old for games, and if he wants to stay it has to be for good, Bishop promises her it will be for real, Maggie steps inside for the night.

"Lord Help My Poor Soul"[]

In Templo the club learn that Creeper was shivved after Hank left visitation at the prison yesterday, Angel mentions that a lot of the correctional officers in Creeper's prison are members of Iron War. Hank informs them that Creeper is in a bad way.

The club head out to the prison to try and meet with Iron War, they meet their President, McKenzie and Stone, the Vice President. EZ tells the President that they allowed Creeper to get attacked. Hank points out that Stone, was an officer during the visitation yesterday. Stone has large gashes across his face, which EZ remembers is what the Broken Saints President told him that her club did to an Iron War member who tried to collect taxes from them. The situation gets tense as more Iron War members arrive, outnumbering the Mayans. EZ threatens the President again, after the man states that Alvarez was a much better leader for the Mayans.

The club are successful in capturing Stone for information about the cartel's heroin source. EZ beats Stone within an inch of his life and Bishop yells that he is going to kill him, the two begin to fight and are eventually dragged apart by everyone else. EZ stares around the circle of his brothers, looking them all in the eye before walking away. Bishop tells them to dump Stone at the side of the road somewhere.

Bishop, Guero, Hank, Downer and Gilly sit in the clubhouse. The club are discussing the fall of the Inland Empire charter, the Sons paid Hector, their Presidente a visit, threatened his family and killed his Vice Presidente, Wolverine in front of him and his wife and daughter. Guero insists that he trusts EZ to have a plan, but Downer isn't so sure, stating that Santo Padre is the last of Southern California left. Bishop continues to tear in to EZ, stating all he has done since he has become Presidente is paint the clubhouse and ban smoking in Templo; he is just going to get them all killed.

EZ arrives, most likely hearing Bishop's slander. He asks if anyone knows why Angel has called an emergency Templo meeting.

The club head in to Templo. Angel rushes in and announces that Cole, a mercenary the club had dealings with many years ago broke in to his house and threatened his family. He warned them the club has to stop looking in to the heroin pipeline for the cartel. The club put all of the pieces of the puzzle together. The cartel has made the switch to fentanyl, not heroin. They move to Cole, who supplies the cartel with military grade weaponry and he also sells the fentanyl to Iron War, who distribute it throughout the prions to Storm 88, a white supremacist prison gang, ensuring the prisons stay flush with drugs. EZ smiles, believing that all the club needed was to figure out the pipeline in order to take it down. This enrages Angel, who insists that they must stop. EZ refuses. Bishop chimes in, stating that the club is already crumbling, why would they want to wage war on Cole and his crew. EZ tells Bishop he is wrong, they aren't going after Cole, they are going after the cartel.

"Do You Hear the Rain"[]

The club are about to raid a drug manufacturing house. EZ awaits for the signal and upon being given it, he orders Angel to cut the power to the telephone poles. The club file up the stairs, a man exits the house and is immediately blown away by Bishop with a shotgun who was guarding the door. The club sweep through, killing all inhabitants. EZ says that the cook is missing and tells Angel to find him, the rest head outside and keep loading up the van. Angel returns to the truck and tells the club he was unable to find the cook. Moments later, Lobo appears, with the cook, he throws him on the floor and tells the club that he found him hiding under the house. He is thrown in to the back of the truck.

The following day, Bishop heads out of the clubhouse, Angel catches up to him, stating that he wants to talk to him. Bishop offers him a smoke, to which Angel declines, citing that he is trying to quit. Angel brings up his son and tells Bishop that he is trying to keep his two worlds separate, his home life and his club life, but he doesn't know how. Bishop gets emotional as he tells Angel that he would do anything to be with his son if he was still around, even if it meant he had to be a janitor making no money, he would do whatever he had to be just to be a father. He savagely states that he would let the whole club burn for one more second with his son. He continues with tears in his eyes, admitting to Angel that the only reason he is still in the club is because he doesn't have anything else.

Later that night, Bishop heads to Maggie's. He kisses her passionately and promises her that he wants to stay, telling her that he finally wants something good in his life. Maggie kisses him back before inviting him inside.

"I See the Black Light"[]

EZ, Angel, Bishop and Hank meet with Yong Suen, a member of the Chen Triad, a Chinese criminal organisation that the Mayans did business with many years ago. The man owed Bishop a favour and he has finally cashed it in. The club are attempting to buy chemicals off the triad so that they can continue to produce fentanyl. Yong hands EZ's note to his superior but he is very unimpressed with what the club is offering. Bishop and Yong begin to argue as EZ mentions that they can get the Triad untraceable guns, 12 boxes of AKs. This interests the Dragon much more and a deal is made.

Outside, the four discuss the deal that just happened, Angel isn't sure the club should be giving up guns but EZ argues that without the pipeline, guns don't matter. Hank then informs them that they have a vital matter to discuss, and it should be kept between the four of them. Creeper believes that a member of Santo Padre is working with the feds, and there is a rat inside the club. Bishop says they should tell the rest of the club but EZ refuses, saying they keep it to themselves until they can figure it out.

Back at the bar, a frantic Bottles barges in to the clubhouse and rushes behind the bar to get some rags, EZ stops him on his way out and he quickly announces that Lobo is dying before sprinting back outside. Everyone follows and surrounds Lobo as Sofía, EZ's girlfriend who is already outside desperately attempts CPR, she asks how close the ambulance is, but it seems obvious to everyone except for her that it isn't coming. Sofía pleads with EZ to do something but everyone just watches on as Lobo passes away.

Everyone is shocked as EZ demands to know what happened. Bottles explains that he doesn't know, Lobo must have touched something despite the sign saying it was dangerous. Another fight breaks out as EZ tries to reason with his brothers saying that they're all dead unless they keep cooking fentanyl. Bishop jumps in and says they have to get the lab out of the compound. EZ says nothing and instead gets on his bike and rides away.

The club later ride out to the Broken Saints farm, EZ has successfully brokered a deal with them, allowing them to store and cook fentanyl on their land for a cut off the profits and their last 3 gun crates. Hank pulls EZ and Bishop aside and says that he has just heard from Otero, Smiley, a Yuma Mayan has been killed, the three piece together that SAMDINO are attempting to circle Santo Padre by wiping out other charters around them.

"I Want Nothing but Death"[]

It's midnight. Nestor drives a car with Hank, Angel and Bishop. Hank loads a shotgun in the front seat and then passes it to Angel who is sat behind him. The group ride up to a group of SAMDINO members and Angel sticks the shotgun out the window and shoots, immediately killing the Son. Nestor then speeds off and the group disappear in to the night.

In Templo, Bishop retells the story about how they did a hit on some SAMDINO members the previous night, and how Angel ruthlessly gunned down one of them in the street, everyone at the table is loving the story, except Angel, who remains silent.

EZ enters Templo and sits down, he is carrying a large bag with him. Angel states that he wants to bring something to the table, he voices his displeasure for continuing the fentanyl trade. He demands that the club stop it and get out of business with the cartel. After a few moments of silence, EZ states that Alvarez dictating and that he doesn't want to lead like that. He opens his bag and dumps out stack of cash, he begins to divide it up between the others at the table, he sarcastically remarks to Angel how terrible the fentanyl is before telling everyone else at the table that they can decide if they want to continue the trade or not. It is quite clear, everyone is more than happy to continue, if it means money like this.

Hank changes subject to the Grim Bastards offer, earlier that day, members of the Grim Bastards South Gate charter arrived at the clubhouse. Their President, Lucky, proposed a peace meeting between the Sons and the Mayans, citing that their war was bad for everyone involved. EZ lays out all the options, explaining that peace could be reached, or they could all end up dead. He asks Bishop, who has had run ins with Lucky before. Bishop explains that Lucky is well respected, and everyone knows it; Hank backs up this claim, stating that the club should trust him. Everyone is in agreement, and EZ says that tonight they ride to L.A. to meet the Sons.

Bishop goes to Maggie's granddaughter's birthday party. He sees that Alvarez and Izzy are there, he attempts to speak to Alvarez but he ignores him and walks away, taking his family with him. Izzy apologises to Bishop, telling him that Alvarez isn't ready to make amends yet, Bishop notices that she is heavily pregnant, and congratulates her.

Maggie arrives and the pair kiss, Maggie beckons her son over, Richie, to meet Bishop. The pair shake hands and discuss their time serving in the armed forces. Maggie brings over Richie's daughter and Maggie tells him that he should hold her, Bishop looks at Richie and he agrees, Bishop picks up the baby and becomes emotional as he does so, memories of his own son flooding back to him.

The Mayans head out to meet the Bastards and the Sons for peace talks. The Bastards are running security and take everyone's guns away as they enter the warehouse. EZ speaks briefly with Lucky, who reminds him no violence and to make sure things go smooth.

The club head inside to find Isaac, the SAMDINO President and the man responsible for so many deaths of their brothers. He is seated in a chair with an army of Sons behind him. The two clubs square off as Isaac introduces himself to EZ, he rants for a short while before Lucky cuts in as Isaac starts to insult him. He thanks everyone for attending the talks and assures that no violence will be had. EZ quickly states his terms, the Sons will surrender, the Mayans will continue to wear the California rocker, and SAMDINO will be shut down.

Isaac interrupts to ask where Coco is, Bishop states that he was killed in the Oakland clubhouse raid about six months ago. Isaac turns to speak to his Vice President, who is standing behind him. He asks him if he was responsible for killing Coco, he is met with silence. Isaac addresses EZ again, explaining that he didn't know his club had killed Coco. EZ repeats the terms he laid out earlier, as Isaac laments that it's all for nothing if Coco isn't here anymore. EZ repeats himself again as Isaac stands up and throws his chair, stating that EZ is boring him. He steps forward to EZ and points out a scar on his neck, pointing out that Coco gave it to him and now he isn't able to return the favour. EZ repeats himself again, as Isaac asks EZ, "What am I crashing towards?" Otero speaks up, telling Isaac that he is a psycho and the two clubs approach each other as tensions begin to rise, the Bastards jump in and separate them again as Lucky fires a round in to the air, demanding everyone stand down and reminding them of the agreement.

Isaac stares EZ in the eyes as he tells him he takes back his agreement, and he isn't leaving until somebody dies. He continues, stating that he wants to remember Coco properly before asking who wants to fight. Gilly tries to step forward, "I got this", he states as Otero holds him back and he steps forward instead, "For Manny. What's up?". Manny had been burned alive by Isaac a few days after Coco's death. Isaac chuckles as he tells Otero that he didn't really think that he was going to fight. Otero calls Isaac a "fucking pussy" as he pushes him back behind him with the rest of the club. Isaac says that he and EZ are going to appoint someone to fight until only one is still standing.

Isaac heads back to his club and picks out the biggest man he can find, a humungous man named Travis. Lucky speaks up again, telling everyone to leave as there will be no violence, he is ignored however. EZ turns to his club and reminds them that he said he will bleed for them, before removing his kutte and passing it to Angel who tries to stop EZ from fighting.

EZ steps forward and strikes Travis across the face, Travis is unmoved and just laughs. "Fuck", EZ exhales as Travis effortlessly picks him up and body slams him. The room is filled with roars from both clubs as their champion fights on. EZ quickly recovers and the two men continue to exchange blows, EZ is knocked to the floor again and begins to spit out blood as Travis kicks him when he's down before mounting him and beginning to punch him across the face, over and over. EZ jams his finger in to Travis' eye, allowing him to cripple the giant and instead mount him, he begins to land blow after blow on the badly wounded Travis before he begins to smash his head repeatedly in to the concrete floor until Travis is dead.

A breathless EZ struggles to his feet before spitting on Travis' body, lamenting to Isaac, "There's your blood, motherfucker". He repeats his terms again. Isaac states "It is you..." continuing his previous statement from earlier when he asked "What am I crashing towards?". The Sons are silent as they slowly filter out of the warehouse.

The club return to the Santo Padre clubhouse to celebrate their small victory. EZ eventually staggers in to the clubhouse. Otero speaks up and announces "Now this is a fucking Mayan!". The club begin to pound their fists on the tales as they chant EZ's name. Bishop is not seen to be pounding his fist in support for EZ.

"My Eyes Filled and Then Closed on the Last of Childhood Tears"[]

Bishop enters the clubhouse and finds it empty. With no Prospects to serve him, he helps himself to a beer at the bar. He begins to hear guitar strumming and enters the bathroom, he finds Treenie inside playing.

Treenie continues to play, singing as she does, she messes up as Bishop remarks that he was enjoying it. Treenie explains in a roundabout sort of way that music helps her express herself. Bishop asks her to teach him how to play something.

"To Fear of Death, I Eat the Stars"[]

A groggy Bishop awakens with Treenie by his side to see Maggie staring over at him. Bishop scrambles to his feet and tries to explain to Maggie that it doesn't mean anything but she strikes him across the face and tells him he can do better. Maggie chuckles as she tells Bishop that they "fucked it up". She departs with tears in her eyes as Bishop solemnly sits down.

The club are heading in to Templo, Hank receives a call from Creeper and says he will be in soon. He enters Templo a few moments later, explaining that the call got disconnected.

Gilly asks why nobody else was told there was a rat in the club as Hank explains they had to be sure it was Jess, a bar girl at the clubhouse. He goes on to explain that Nestor has taken care of Jess and he did a good job. EZ then speaks up and announces that he has taken Gretton's deal. Gretton is an associate of Cole and offered the club the Californian prisons for half of the stake. Everybody is concerned with EZ's decision and furious that he didn't put it to a vote first. EZ explains that they are so close and this is the final thing they needed to win the war. The deal is going to end the war with the Sons and make sure that all bloodshed is from their enemies. The table silently nod in approval.

The club are celebrating the new partnership with Gretton, drinks are flowing and a good time is being had. Suddenly the clubhouse doors flies open and Diaz enters with his Vice Presidente, Jinx in tow. "What the fuck did you motherfuckers do?!" he screams as the room falls silent. EZ approaches him and he begins to yell at him, screaming that they had a deal. EZ tells him that he had a deal, with Mayan enemies. Hank steps between the pair as Diaz becomes aggressive and asks what is going on. Diaz remarks that EZ hasn't told the club anything as he announces that EZ killed a member of SAMCRO. The room is stunned in to silence as EZ ushers Diaz and Jinx in to Templo. EZ passes by a drunk Bishop and invites him to join, but he refuses.

The four exit Templo and EZ invites Oakland to stay for a drink, Diaz refuses, stating he needs to see Alvarez. EZ and Diaz hug as Diaz notes, "We'll see about that future". Diaz turns to leave when Guero runs up on him and shoots him in the back of the head. "That's for my father, motherfucker!" He cries out with tears in his eyes. Jinx is paralysed with shock as Bishop stands up, "Goddamn it." He too draws his pistol and shoots Jinx in the back of the head.

"Her Blacks Crackle and Drag"[]

The club carry Creeper's casket to the clubhouse, he was tragically killed in prison a few nights ago and the club are holding his wake. Inside the clubhouse, the club listen to a eulogy by Yvette, Creeper's half-sister. Yvette says that when they were younger, their home life was very rough due to their mother's drug addiction, but Creeper always made sure that his siblings were fed, and had clothes. Yvette proclaims that she is so grateful for the Mayans, as Creeper finally found his home. She addresses them all by name, including Taza, who is lurking at the back of the crowd, much to everyone's surprise.

EZ then addresses the crowd. He says "I killed my brother. I killed Creeper. It was on my watch. And I'll never forgive myself for that." A young woman emerges from the crowd, Santo Padre recognise her as Creeper's girlfriend, she approaches Creeper's casket and places her hands on him, before quickly leaving the clubhouse.

The club toast to Creeper's life, raising water bottles in his honour, dying as he lived, a sober man. Santo Padre carry the casket as Creeper is loaded in to the back of a hearse.

A short while later, Taza attempts to leave unnoticed; he makes it through the front door and is about to head down the stairs when a familiar voice asks him if he is "sneaking out?". Taza turns his head to see Bishop sitting on the porch, the one man he didn't want to see on his unfortunate visit. Bishop coldly asks Taza "You find what you were looking for out there?" Taza proclaims that it "ain't nowhere to be found". He continues, saying this war is worse than the first. Bishop sarcastically remarks that it looks like he left Santo Padre just in time. Taza brings up the past, but Bishop cuts him off, stating that "It's just the fucking past." He chuckles as he proclaims, "What's hell if you can't enjoy it with your friends?". He notes that it would be a stupid time to come back to Santo Padre, Taza reminds him that he isn't very smart.

"Slow to Bleed Fair Son"[]

The club attend the funeral for Felipe Reyes, EZ and Angel's father who was murdered a few days ago in a home invasion. The club don't know who was responsible.

The club head back to the clubhouse. Terry Drakos, the Vice President of SAMDINO arrives. Santo Padre drag him in to the clubhouse and hold him at gunpoint, he states that he wants to speak to EZ, he is doing to want to hear what he has to say. EZ soon arrives and he demands to know what Terry wants. Terry tells him that if he tells him what happened to Jess, then he will tell them what happened to Felipe.

EZ steps outside, an army of Mayans, Grim Bastards and Iron War are awaiting him. Today is the day they finally finish SAMDINO. EZ gives a rousing speech to the men outside before they head out to San Bernardino to finish them off for good.

The clubs arrive at San Bernardino and at a concert where SAMDINO, among other Sons charters are. They breach the building and a bloody beatdown ensues, numerous Sons are either killed or forced to quit the club.

Back at the clubhouse, the celebration wages on. The clubs burn Sons of Anarchy kuttes and celebrate their victory. EZ was also successful in killing Isaac, the SAMDINO President. Bishop spots Treenie in the crowd, he approaches her. He tries to explain the situation with Maggie. Treenie tells him that he doesn't mean shit to her anymore. He showed her kindness when she was in a terrible place and she fell for him, hard. She now realises that he isn't what she is looking for and he is actually a terrible person.

Bishop goes to the hospital to see Alvarez. His son has just been born and Bishop believes now is a good as time as ever to reconcile and move past their differences. Alvarez admits that he didn't know what he was thinking, having another baby at his age, he probably won't be around for his son's graduation and will never meet his children. Alvarez asks Bishop if he thinks he is doing the right thing and Bishop says he certainly knows that one of them is. Bishop gets emotional as he tells Alvarez to spend every minute he can with his son, Bishop longs to have spent more time with his. Alvarez asks Bishop if he wants to meet the baby, Bishop declines, stating he will come by another time; this is Alvarez' moment.

Bishop heads home, he hears a knock at his door and opens it. Outside he finds Kody, Creeper's girlfriend. Bishop is incredibly confused but allows Kody in all the same. Kody tells Bishop that she has a message from Creeper, this leaves Bishop even more confused. The exact details of their conversation aren't shown. However Kody reveals all to Bishop, that she was working for the DEA, she tried to turn Creeper and that is why he ended up in prison. Bishop's blood boils as he realises that Kody probably isn't even her name. He ponders getting rid of her then and there but he restrains himself, knowing it isn't a good idea. Kody then drops the bombshell that sends Bishop's head swirling. EZ was previously a DEA informant, he worked with them many years ago whilst he was still prospecting for the club. He was their man on the inside and their link to the Galindo Cartel, that is who they wanted, not the club, hence why they're still around. Bishop can barely contain his rage as Kody tearfully explains that is why Creeper was killed on the inside, she told him who the rat in the club was and somehow EZ learned that Creeper knew of his past, he had him murdered to keep his secrets.

After Kody leaves, Bishop, paralysed with shock begins to piece everything together. The Presidente of a club he has given his life to, the same man he once sponsored and allowed in to his tribe has been a rat all along. It also dawns on Bishop that Angel was probably in on it too, making him an accessory. As horrified as Bishop is, he can't help but take pleasure in knowing this is exactly what he needs to rid the Mayans of EZ for good.

Offscreen, a frantic Bishop calls an emergency Templo. Santo Padre listen intently as Bishop explains all he has learned. Nestor is invited in by Hank, proposing that they patch him in tonight, he is in deep with the club and has always been a valuable brother, putting the club above all else. Bottles is also invited in, they want him to deal with Sofía as she will figure out what happened to EZ and probably knows club secrets. His full patch may even be waiting for him on the other side. Bishop also explains that Angel most likely knew, he is just as guilty as EZ. They set their plan for Templo that night, to rid Santo Padre of the rat for good.

Inside of Templo, everyone is present except for Downer. He had been sent out by Gilly and Hank to take care of Cielo, after she stopped showing up for work after witnessing the murders of Diaz and Jinx. The club are worried she will rat and want her dealt with. Guero says that Downer is probably just hungover, he has been calling him all day, however. EZ begins the Templo. He thanks Santo Padre for all their sacrifice, for sticking by him through their journey and the war with SAMDINO. EZ says that he is indebted to their loyalty and brotherhood forever.

He passes the table over to Angel. Angel says that the club has been the best experience of his life, he finds it hard to get the words out as he says he doesn't want his son to lose him and that he must leave the club for his sake. EZ says they would like to bring it to the table but Hank interrupts, asking if he may bring something to the table first.

EZ and Angel agree and Hank proposes that Nestor be patched in. He dealt with the Jess problem, and is a loyal brother to the club and will always put the patch first. The club vote Nestor Oceteva in to the club, everyone agrees that he would be a solid addition to the charter. EZ bangs the gavel as Guero heads outside to bring Nestor in. Nestor enters and neatly places his kutte on the table as requested, Hank approaches him from behind and lays down the flashes and rockers. The club pound their fists on the table for Nestor as they all rise to hug him.

EZ goes to walk back to the chair as Gilly suddenly grabs him from behind, Angel is also restrained as Bishop takes out his pistol and places it to EZ's head. "You're a fucking rat!" he spits at EZ, telling him he knows all about his DEA deal, how he had Creeper killed after he gave up everything for him and the club. He turns the gun on Angel, saying that he conspired with him. EZ frantically explains that Angel didn't know when he bought him in to the club and begs Bishop not to kill him.

Hank retrieves EZ's knife from his belt and thrusts it in to Angel's hand, "fucking prove it". Bishop tells Angel he has one chance to prove that he is loyal to the club over blood and get out of the room alive, he has to kill his brother.

Reality sinks in as EZ knows his time has come, there isn't a chance they both get out of the room alive. He tells Angel that his son is waiting for him outside and it is his only chance to be with him. EZ assures Angel that it is fine as Angel is thrust towards him. EZ begins to sob as he tells Angel to tell Maverick all about his uncle, and his mother. "Go, and don't come back, I'll miss ya'", EZ grins to Angel as tears stream down his face. "Okay, I'm ready" he announces to the club as Angel grips EZ's shoulder before driving the blade in to his stomach. The brothers affirm their love for each other as Nestor drags Angel back. Hank steps forward and stabs EZ again. Bishop steps up, "You ain't the only one that reads Shakespeare, motherfucker" before driving the blade as deep in to EZ's stomach as he can, causing him to drop to the floor as Gilly releases him. A steady pool of blood begins to pour on to the Templo floor as Gilly, Guero and Nestor also stab EZ. Nestor's stab proves to be fatal, hitting EZ's heart. A devastated Angel cradles his head as EZ drifts away.

Santo Padre sits silently in Templo. They are now joined by Bottles, who has just finished tying up another loose end, Sofía, and has also been patched in. "Now... back to business" Bishop sneers as he runs his hands along the Presidente's chair before lighting up cigarette. A commotion is heard outside as heavily armed ATF agents storm the clubhouse and burst in to Templo. A barrage of gunshots echoes throughout the compound as Santo Padre are finally wiped out.

Trivia[]

  • In Her Blacks Crackle and Drag, Taza admits to Bishop that the 2022-2023 war with the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club is worse than the last one. This suggests that he and Taza have been members of the Mayans since at least '92, as that was when "The Bloody 92" war with the Sons occurred.
  • Bishop appears in every episode except for the season five episode, "I Must Go in Now for the Fog is Rising", he is however still credited.
  • Michael Irby stated in a podcast with Vincent Vargas: "Bishop, I loved him; I ended up hating him, though. I thought they damaged him at the end, and I thought that they just ran him in to the ground. Whether that was creative or personal, however that really came out, I thought they did Bishop a disservice; I thought they did me a disservice. I hated the way that last season ended for Bishop".
