Sons of Anarchy

Laroy Wayne was the former leader of the One-Niners, being the primary contact for SAMCRO. A major player in gun-running and the heroin trade, SAMCRO supplied weaponry to the One-Niners while initially keeping the Mayans out of the loop. In a deal with SAMCRO, Laroy agreed to keep the Niners restricted to Oakland as long as their "business arrangements" were kept in tact, though retaliation and bad blood was not uncommon between Laroy and SAMCRO.

Biography

Season One

Marcus Alvarez and the Mayans raid an assembly warehouse kept by SAMCRO, stealing M4 Carbines and Glocks before torching the location (destroying any leftover guns and ammunition). It's revealed that this weaponry was previously paid for by the One-Niners, who needed the M4's to protect an incoming heroine shipment. Clay Morrow arrives at the destroyed warehouse, learning of the destruction from Vic Trammel. He tells them that the M4's and Glocks were missing, saying the rest was blown to pieces. Vic expresses concern of what he's supposed to tell Laroy, as he was supposed to deliver 5 cases of weaponry to them and Clay says to set a meeting between himself and the One-Niners leader.

Laroy meeting with Clay

Clay rides up to Oakland, meeting with Laroy in a public park while members from both of their crews stand by. Laroy inquires on it being a long ride from Charming to Oakland, wondering why they needed a face-to-face. Clay informs him that their assembly warehouse had burned down but lies about the M4's saying they too were destroyed in the flames. Laroy tells him they already paid their dues for that hardware and with a shipment of his own (heroine) on the way, his guns can't be late. Clay goes on to explain SAMCRO's longterm history with the Niners, including that he's never sold a gun to the Mayans and that he needs a little more time. Laroy on the other hand disregards the history and says this is about business, trying to intimidate Clay who responds just as sternly that it's smart business to give him a few more days. Laroy decides to give them until Sunday, otherwise a few of his guys might cruise into Charming and the least of Clay's worries would be a burned down warehouse.[1]

SAMCRO makes a move to recover their stolen guns from the Mayans at their own warehouse and end up killing three of their members alongside a man named Whistler, who worked for the Nordics. With a successful recovery, Clay spoke to Laroy and had the guns delivered, saying that he was "all giddy with his new assault rifles".[2]

Season Two

This is cleared up in season 2 where it is made clear that Laroy and the Sons are still allied and the Mayans are not. The one-niners aid SAMCRO in the fight against L.O.A.N.

Season Four

In the premiere of season 4, Laroy and an entourage of One-Niners are seen at Opie's wedding, showing that the Sons and the Niners are still business partners. Later on, The Galindo Cartel and SAMCRO discover the One-Niners are buying and selling with the Lobos. After SAMCRO and Galindo confront Laroy and demand and threaten him to break off his relation with Lobos. Laroy agrees and at the next meet between the One-Niners and the Lobos, SAMCRO and Galindo ambush them in the warehouse. Several Lobos are killed until they escape due to several member bringing grenade launchers. Later, when Marcus Alvarez and his Mayans and Jax go to Laroy's bar one Mayan is shot because the One-Niners where tense when several of their members were killed that day by Lobos. Marcus than shoots one One-Niner as vengeance for one of his Mayans getting killed.

After Clay is shot by Opie several times, the club blames it on the One-Niners and Laroy leading Tig to seek revenge by killing Laroy. Tig follows Laroy in his car and attempts to hit him but Laroy gets out of the way and instead Tig kills Laroy's girlfriend Veronica Pope. Laroy then drives (with his One-Niner members) chase down Tig until Tig ditches his truck and gets on his motorcycle. Tig takes to the highway and SAMCRO members help cover him and they manage to shoot a the One-Niner driver in the leading vehicle holding up the rest of the gang with Laroy furious. It is later found out by Eli Roosevelt that Veronica Pope (Laroy's girlfriend who was killed) had a very powerful father up in Oakland, Damon Pope.

Season Five

After Laroy retaliates against SAMCRO, Damon Pope orders August Marks to kill him.

Personality and appearance

Laroy is a slim African American male. He usually wears a button-front shirt in purple and has a tattoo of the Roman Numeral for 9 (IX) on the back of his neck. He is quiet and calm with the exception of season 4, where he becomes frustrated both when the Sons Of Anarchy protect Alvarez and when Tig kills his girlfriend in a hit and run. It is unknown wether or not he's got knowledge of it being the Sons Of Anarchy. In the early seasons however he had a pretty good relationship with Clay as they call each other brother. Jax and Laroy seems to be getting along as well, considering Laroy gives Jax a chance to convince Piney putting down his weapon when he's in the one-niners bar.
