Father Kellan Ashby was the consigliere of the True IRA in Belfast.

Season ThreeEdit

When his cousin Cameron Hayes returns to Belfast, Ashby is immediately wary because of the trouble Cameron brewed up in the United States with SAMCRO. After conversing with the True IRA leaders, he approves of the killing of Cameron in his own church. When SAMCRO comes to Belfast he introduces himself to Jax. He tells Jax of Jimmy's betrayal and offers Abel in When the IRA leaders decide that Jimmy needs to be taken out they make a deal with SAMCRO to kill him in exchange for opening up their entire gun supply to SAMCRO. Kellan goes with Jax to meet Jimmy and it is then revealed that in order to assure safe passage out of the country, Jimmy takes Kellan hostage. Jax tells Kellan that Jimmy would kill him and Kellan simply tells him to "Be well my son".

Season FourEdit

On Lincoln Potter's RICO wall it shows Kellan Ashby's picture with the word missing under it meaning they weren't sure if he was alive or dead.

Season 5Edit

It was confirmed by Galen when he was speaking to Jax that Ashby was killed by Jimmy O.

Father Ashby is a calm and collected individual, respected by everyone in Ireland because of the fact that he is a priest. He also declined a position of power within the Vatican three times. He loved John Teller as a brother and sincerely wanted to make his wish come true: to protect his family from the life he had. Ashby also has great physical strength as he was able to throw the much younger Jax over a table.
