Joda Pyle, born January 5, 1983 in Louisville, Kentucky, is an American actor who played the role of a Nurse on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Playing the role of a nurse working at St. Thomas Hospital, Joda appears only in the series' premiere episode, "Pilot", in the series' first season.
Biography[]
Movies and TV aside, Joda Pyle is mostly recognized for creating GOOMBY in 2004, an urban-influenced lifestyle brand famous for its original skateboards, hipster apparel, and, in recent years, films. He grew up in the refined Highlands area of Louisville, Kentucky. Pyle began professionally acting as a kid in New York City on several television series, including One Life to Live and Law & Order. Joda won the Ron Millkie Award for Best Actor Performance in 2001. After a few scene studies and expression sessions under the instruction of Bobbie Shaw Chance in Los Angeles, he landed both a general meeting with casting director Mali Finn and a featured role in 10 Attitudes.
Pyle then decided to put acting on the shelf for a bit to focus more on entrepreneurship and production. Well, a bit turned into years, but he did eventually return to the playing field in early 2006 with Ray Liotta, Willa Holland, Keith David, Lauren Holly, Tania Raymonde, Lori Petty, Michael O'Keefe, Rory Culkin and Trevor Morgan to film Chasing 3000. Joda then went on to appear in Sons of Anarchy and support Armie Hammer in Robby Benson's Billy: The Early Years. Almost Ruined gave him his writer/director debut.
