Arie Verveen, born September 28, 1976 in Ireland, is an Irish actor who plays the role of Liam O'Neill on the FX original series Sons of Anarchy. Making his debut on the episode "Caregiver" in the series' third season, Arie plays the role of the Sergeant-at-Arms of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club's Belfast, Northern Ireland chapter. The chapter's President, the right-hand man of Keith McGee, and member of the First 9, Arie plays a recurring role through the same season. Secretly supplying information to Jimmy O'Phelan about SAMCRO's activities, he is a secondary antagonist who meets his demise in the Season 3 episode "Fírinne".

Young (Caught). He has received an Independent Spirit Award Nomination, a Golden Satellite Award and notable critical acclaim, for his work.

Verveen studied under acting coach David G. Bennett in London, where he made his stage debut in a production of A Hatful Of Rain by Michael V. Gazzo, which he co-produced and starred in.

His appearance in Caught (1996) was his first lead role in a feature film, opposite Edward James Olmos and María Conchita Alonso, directed by Robert M. Young. This role garnered him a 1997 Special Achievement Satellite Award for Outstanding New Talent, an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Debut Performance, and critical acclaim for his work.

In 2010, Verveen appeared in season three of Sons of Anarchy as Liam O'Neill, a corrupt member of the Belfast charter of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club.
